Research: Chris Brown - Kiss Kiss featuring T-Pain

This music video does demonstrate genre charatcteristics because it has the recognisable melody that usually comes with music that is associated with R&B music. The tempo of the song is what usually sets the visuals of the music video. This music video is still an R&B music video however the tempo is much faster and its not and serious as most of the typical R&B songs are. One the other hand this music video amd the song does still show the characteristics of this specific genre just with more of a different side to it. This is done through the of the storyline and the type of people that are in the music video including the artists.

There is also a relationship between the lyrics and the visuals. In this video the lyrics contradict the music video in a way, thus is because the lyrics are talking about how a girl fantasises about a girl and how much she likes him but people are jealous of him because teh girl likes him instead of her. However the music video tells a story abotu a girl that is liked by two different types of boys (the Jock and the Nerd) and how the Jock atkes more of an aggressive approach towards the girl and the Nerd chooses to be more like a gentleman by helping her pick up her books. The relationship between the music and visuals also show through the same as the relationshhip between the lyrics abd the visuals.

Due to the record label demanding features such as close ups of the artist, the artist may end up having iconography which shows through their work. With this artists(Chris Brown), his signature is his dancing in his songs. In most of his music videos, especially teh ones which have a faster tempo, he does a lot of dancing and he usually ahs backup dancers too.

There may also be some scenes where the featuring artist is seen in either alone or with the two artists in the music video.

There is frequently reference to notion of looking and particularly voyeuristic treatment of the female body.

6. There is often intertextual reference to films, T.V programmes, popular culture and other videos. In thsi music video, its tellinga story that is based in a high school somehting like the teen culture of football and the games in the school gym as well as the American football team.
